Lineage2AI treats memory as a small, deliberate part of the relationship. A remembered detail should have a clear purpose, belong to the right player and remain separate from the official state of the game world.

The world can recognise what mattered
You tell a companion that the harbor near Talking Island is your favorite quiet place. Days later, they can suggest returning there for another fishing trip.
The memory matters because it changes a future moment naturally. It is not shown as a database entry or repeated just to prove that the system stored something.
Care and privacy
Conversation is not an excuse to remember everything
Raw voice and complete transcripts should not quietly become permanent memory. A useful memory is selected, limited and connected to the person who allowed it.
Some details may lose their value over time. Careful memory can expire or be replaced instead of becoming an unchangeable biography of the player.
Character identity
Companions can remain consistent while their stories grow
A companion may slowly develop preferences and opinions, but a new statement should not rewrite everything that came before. Their identity grows in small, reviewed steps.
This balance gives a character room to change without making them random from one session to the next.
